ABOUT

Aurélie is a freelance illustrator living in Paris.

She spent a very enjoyable childhood in a working-class area of the Val d’Oise, France, where her plan of discovering a treasure map in her attic to explore the underground tunnels of her town, equipped with « Booty Traps », is quickly doomed to fail: her council house does not have an attic.

She knows how to bounce back and dedicates herself to another activity that she is particularly fond of: drawing.
She first meets with success, for that matter, at nursery school when confectioning a cushion for which she draws the most beautiful patterns in her class. She does not regret in any way the extra hours and break times given up to be able to finish this present in time for Mother’s Day.

She then follows an atypical academic and professional path, moving from a GCE A level, to a master degree in foreign languages, to a position as a bilingual legal PA, with a detour in a graphic design school.

In parallel, she never stopped drawing.
She participates in several projects, the last one being for Le Closet Mag, a magazine specialised in Fashion, Lifestyle and Sneakers in which she has a recurrent comic strip and publishes many illustrations.
One Sunday, slouching around at home in her pants and eating a pizza, she decides to create the tumblr Pizza and Panties, a kind of daily monthly journal.

She likes to travel, read comics, Burt Macklin and the Nike Air Tech Challenge II Hot Lava.

She does not like writing autobiographies in the third person singular.
